Bauchi Radio Corporation pledges to uphold the National Broadcasting Commission ethics.

The Managing Director of the Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC) Alhaji Umar Muhammad Shira has reaffirmed the corporation’s unwavering commitment to upholding the National broadcasting Commission ethics at all times.

Alhaji Umar Shira gave the assurance when the media team of Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, senator Shehu Umar Buba visited the corporation on a courtesy visit.

The Managing Director used the medium to appeal to political media aids in the state to abide by the broadcasting codes to promote peace in the state and the country at large.

He explained that the objectives of broadcasting was for the promotion of national unity, participatory democracy, political awareness and the spirit of tolerance of divergent views and opinions of people.

Earlier, the leader of media team to the Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District Comrade Sabo Mohammed said the aim of the visit was to familiarize and congratulate Alhaji Umar Muhammad Shira on his appointment as the managing director of BRC.

Comrade Sabo Mohammed who is the adviser on media and publicly to the Bauchi South Senator commended Governor Bala Mohammed for appointing technocrats and his effort to improve the state owned media outlets.

He assured that his team will work based on Nigeria broadcasting Commission codes of ethics for the development of the state.

Comrade Sabo Mohammed appealed to the state government to improve the FM community radio stations in Bauchi for effective service delivery to the people particularly the rural populace.
