Bauchi State government has set up a machinary in motion for total reactivation of Bauchi Radio Corporation AM wing and establishment of additional grassroots FM radio stations at the remaining ten local goverment areas not covered at the first phase.

The Commissioner of information and communucation, Usman Shehu Usman announced this at Darazo local government when he led a state team to inspect and agreed on the location where the new stations are to be sited.
The commissioner said, the state governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad has approved the immediate commencement of the project so as to ensure inclusivity in policy delivery b fulfiling the pledge that all the local government areas are to have their own radio station.

Speaking during the visit, the chairman of Darazo local goverment area, Alhaji Samaila Yau Sade, commended the state government for considering the local government in the provision of the community based FM station.
The Chairman represented by his deputy, Hajiya Amina Musa assured the government of their readiness to co-operate with contractor to achieve the set objectives without any hitch.
The delegation, later inspected the site allocated for the project which is expected to commence soon.
