Bauchi govt Partners NBTI for Technological Advancement

The Bauchi State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) to empower youths, advance technology, and promote inclusive development in the state.

The Commissioner for Power, Science, and Technology, Modibbo Usman, who signed the MoU on behalf of the State Government, explained that the partnership aims to harness the potential of science and technology to drive economic growth and improve the lives of Bauchi State residents.

According to him, under the MoU, the Bauchi State Technology Incubation Center (TIU) will be upgraded to serve as a center for excellence in the Northeast.
He emphasized that the present administration has prioritized youth development through science and technology entrepreneurship.

The Commissioner noted that this partnership will provide opportunities for young people in Bauchi State to develop their skills and ideas, and contribute to the state’s economic growth.

Earlier, The Director-General and CEO of NBTI, Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, represented by the Zonal Director of the Board, Hajiya Hadiza Mohammed, stated that the Board is committed to facilitating access to research, patents, and innovation from Nigeria’s knowledge institutions that can be commercialized by local entrepreneurs in Bauchi State.

According to him, the partnership will enable the state to tap into the wealth of knowledge and expertise available in Nigerian universities and research institutions.
