Bauchi Government Reaffirms Support for NYSC activities

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Usman Shehu Usman, represented Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed at the opening and swearing-in ceremony of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ National Youth Service Corps orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Wailo, in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.

Delivering the governor’s message, the. State Commissioner of Information and communication Usman Shehu Usman reaffirmed the Bauchi State Government’s unwavering commitment to the NYSC programme. He urged corps members to uphold the core values of unity, discipline, patriotism, and hard work throughout their service year.

The commissioner emphasized that Governor Bala Mohammed is committed to providing a secure, peaceful, and conducive environment for all corps members serving in the state. He also assured continued collaboration between the state government and the NYSC to enhance the welfare and safety of corps members.

 

He further encouraged corps members to integrate peacefully with host communities, respect local customs and traditions, and contribute meaningfully to the social and economic development of Ba

uchi State.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the Bauchi State NYSC Camp Coordinator Mr. Kufre Umoren expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State Government for its continuous support to the NYSC scheme. He commended Hon. Usman for ably representing the governor and praised the newly deployed corps members for their patriotism, loyalty, and readiness to serve the nation.

The camp coordinator also highlighted the critical role of youths in national development, noting that corps members posted to Bauchi State have demonstrated high levels of commitment and have adapted well to the orientation camp environment and local culture.

Mr. Kufre Umoren further described Governor Bala Mohammed as a pillar of support for corps members, commending his consistent goodwill and fatherly guidance.

The highlight of the event was the official commencement of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ NYSC orientation exercise, during which corps members took the oath of allegiance, pledging to serve Nigeria with dedication and integrity.
