News Desk

Garu Islamic College of Health Technology formally inducted five hundred and seventy-three new students at its matriculation ceremony, solidifying its status as the pioneer private Islamic college of health in North-Eastern region of the country.

In his speech during the ceremony, Provost of the College, Dr. Shu’aibu Umar Sale, charged students to dedicate themselves to their studies and uphold the institution’s esteemed reputation.

Dr. Shu’aibu also issued a strong warning against any form of immoral behaviour and examination malpractice, saying if any students have such a kind of mind, then the college is not his option.

Dr. Shu’aibu Umar Sale highlighted the college’s thirteen-year legacy of maintaining academic dignity and providing an inclusive environment for students of all religious backgrounds, explaining that the institution was established to complement government efforts by creating additional study vacancies in the health sector, which often has limited placements in schools.

The newly matriculated students are distributed across the college’s seven departments, with two hundred and twenty in Community Health, one hundred and twenty in Medical Laboratory Science, eighty as Pharmacy Technicians, seventy-five in Public Health, forty in Anaesthetic Technology, twenty in Dental Health Science, and sixteen in X-ray Technology.
