Bauchi Assembly lawmakers visit Emir of Dass over the conferment of Traditional Title to member representing Bogoro

Members of the Bauchi State House of Assembly have paid a thank you visit to the Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman over the conferment of traditional title of Dangatan Dass on the member representing Bogoro Constituency, Musa Wakili Nakwada.

Speaking on behalf of the members, Speaker of the State assembly Abubakar Y. Suleiman said they visited the Emir to register their utmost appreciation to Dass Emirate Council for finding their colleague worthy of the title of Dangatan Dass.

According to the Speaker, the Emir’s decision to confer the title on Musa Wakili Nakwada was thoughtful and insightful, adding that the lawmaker is a hero in all ramifications.

Dr. Abubakar Suleiman added that, the member Representing Bogoro Constituency holds the traditional title of Zanna Tapshin and his conferment by the Emir of Dass as first Dangatan Das is a clear testimony of his positive contributions to the development of the society.

In his response, the Emir of Dass, Alhaji Usman Bilyaminu Othman said the appointment of the Musa Wakili Nakwada as Dangatan Dass is based on his meritorious service, saying the Emirate confers traditional titles to only those who deserve.

He hoped that the conferment of the title on the lawmaker will lead to more blessings to the society.

The Emir thanked Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad for his giant strides toward the betterment of the society and prayed to Almighty Allah to bring more development, peace and tranquility to Bauchi State.

In a separate interview, the first Dangatan Dass, Musa Wakili Nakwada thanked the Emir of Dass for finding him worthy of the traditional title and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him.
