‎ACReSAL hands over Integrated Water Scheme Project to four communities in Bogoro LGA ‎

‎Four communities in Bogoro Local Government area have benefitted from Bauchi ACReSAL’s integrated water scheme project established along the cattle routes, an initiative targeted to provide easy access to potable water for both human and animal consumptioñ
and to also address lingering farmer-harder clashes in the areas.
‎‎Speaking during the handing over of the facilities to the Council Chairman, the State Project Coordinator, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir reaffirmed ACReSAL’s commitment to implement impactful projects across the state.
‎SPC Kabir represented by the Project officer, Architect Abubakar Sa’ad who noted that the integrated water schemes was designed to provide potable water to both human and animals, called on the community to safeguard the project for long-term benefits and cautioned them not to allow anyone tampering with the facilities.
‎Dr. Kabir also stressed the importance of proper maintenance and urged the council’s leadership to provide security, especially the community members, to be engaged for sustainability and such would unlock additional support to the communities from the SPMU.
‎The SPC reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed towards delivering people-centered projects across the state, describing patriotism and community stewardship as vital tools for sustainable development.
‎According to him, the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscape (ACReSAL), a World Bank technical support mission today handed over the ‎Integrated Water Scheme Project to communities in Dundu of Bogoro Ward, Pelu of Gobbiya Ward, Dashem Yelwa in Nghisr of Boi Ward and Dinkin Rimi of Dutsen Lawan ward of Bogoro LGA.
‎Responding the Executive Chairman Bogoro Local Government Council, Mr Yakubu Lawi Sumi pledged to ensure that the project is well maintained to attract more developmental projects to the local Government.
‎Mr Yakubu Lawi commended his Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi state Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Ministry of Water Resources and Ministry of Housing and Environment for bringing such impactful projects down to the grassroots and charged the benefiting communities to take good care of the water faculties for long term benefits.
The Executive Chairman, urged the communities to ensure proper usage and maintenance of the facilities to serve future generations and to further attract World Bank to execute more projects to Bogoro LGA
‎In their remarks, Sarkin Gabas Ginzum Alh. Salisu Abubakar, Sarkin Pelu Alh. Adamu Maidawa, Chiroman Dasham Yelwa ASP Danladi Bitrus (Rtd) and Sarkin Dinkin Rimi Mr. Iliya Zakmi all appreciated Bauchi ACReSAL and the World Bank for intervening in critical sectors of human endeavours, and commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed’s commitment to the welfare of people at the grassroots.
