Journalists in the state have been trained on the use of software technology for reliable information dissemination.

SpeJournalistakiJournalistng at the flagging off of the two days workshop organized by the center for information technology and Development held at the State NUJ Secretariat, one of the facilitators, Mubarak Shehu Dayyab, said the programme is designed to instill the use of modern technologies to journalists to improve their services.

He enumerated the use of creating content design, posting on social media in the use of news publication as very effective and urged the working journalists to adopt the system for effective practice of the profession.

Mubarak noted that the responsibilities saddled with the center for information technology and Development is to train personnel from various field on how to embrace the global changes to ease their work.

The facilitator maintained that the two days workshop would boost the capacity of journalists to improve their legitimate functions.

The resource person appreciated the working synergy existing between the NUJ and the center and promised to maintain the harmonious working relationship in order to achieve the set objectives.
