Women in the State encourage to participate actively in Politics

Party Agents in Bar and Bom communities In Bogoro local Government Area of the state have been called upon to support women in politics in their respective communities.

The call was made by the Executive Director Wowi CAN Mrs Gladys Mbami during focus group Discussion with Party Agents and prospective women party members on women inclusion in politics in Bar and Bom communities in Bogoro local Government.

The program was organized by women Wing Christan Association of Nigeria (Wowi CAN ), in collaboration with women voice in leadership spouseship by Action Aid Nigeria.

Mrs Gladys Mbami said they were at the two communities to appeal to the Party Agents to support and encouraging women in leadership and to handing over the women to them more especially those are interested to contest in politics.

She also said the party Agents have a vital role to play to assist women in politics and added the time is coming for the women to open their eyes to give chance and support woman in politics, by assisting each other in their respective communities.

Speaking During the group Discussion, the program manager Wowi CAN Bauchi State Chapter Mrs Alheri Simon hence the need for women at the two communities to initiate the political group that would assist them to share ideas and knowledge to achieve the desire objectives.

Alheri Simon advice them during the initiative of the political women group to avoid any individual differences to unite as one to give women chance in the next election.

In their separate goodwill messages during the event, the word head of Bar Mr Bitrus Godia and his counterpart Mr Emanuel Mantau commended the wowiCAN for their efforts towards enlightening women in their area to have a voice in leadership and they are assured their total support for the success of the program.

While commenting on the issue, Honerable Ayuba Tare Former Cansillor Bar and Joshua Yakubu former PDP leader in the area assured their support for encouraging women in their respective communities to achieve the desired objectives.

They called on the women who participate in politics to be patient and obidiant, through this they can achieve their targets.

On their part Mrs Regina Nuhu and Saratu Yakubu commended wowi CAN for their awareness that women to have voice in leadership and assure that they will do everything possible to see women participate in politics and also win in a different positions in their respective communities.
