The Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri has embarked on school resumption monitoring exercise to ensure prompt commencement of teaching in public schools for the first term.
While addressing the staff of the various schools visited at Bauchi Central Zone, Alhaji Muhammad Adamu Duguri said the exercise is aimed at ensuring that learning begins immediately and emphasized the importance of timely resumption and effective lesson delivery to students.
He stressed that, the Board is committed to enhancing the quality of education by ensuring teachers’ presence and active engagement with students from the first day of the term.
The Chairman represented by Director of Social Mobilization Alhaji Nura Ahmad, encouraged teachers to remain committed to their duties, pledging that SUBEB would continue to provide necessary support for a conducive learning environment.
The Chairman appreciated governor Bala Mohammed for improving teachers’ welfare through prompt payment of salaries and urged teachers of Bauchi central Zone to reciprocate this gesture by dedicating themselves to their duties.
Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri expressed his satisfaction with teachers prompt resumption to school at the beginning of the term and promised to reward dedicated teachers and punish erring ones
He noted that the essence of resumption is not merely being present at school but actively teaching students
On his part, the Educational Secretary Darazo local government area Muhammad Sani Umar reiterated his commitment to ensure effective learning process and as well address some of the challenges identify
The schools so far visited were Nahutan Darazo Primary School, Darazo Central Primary School, Government Junior secondary School and Ajiyari Primary School.
