Renewed Hoped Initiative and Elumelu Foundation supports 500 women with capital in Bauchi.

The Renewed Hoped Initiative, office of the Bauchi State First Lady and Tony Elumelu Foundation have distributed small business capital grant to five hundred women in the state.

Speaking at the symbolic presentation of support to the beneficiaries, the First Lady of Nigeria Senator oluremi Tinibu said the programme was meant to fight poverty among the women falk.

The Senator Oluremi Tinibu who was represented by the Bauchi State First Lady Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed urged the beneficiaries to use the grant judiciously.

On her part, the state First Lady Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed presented two bags of maize, five twenty kilogram bags of rice, a bays urea fertilizer and three hundred thousand Naira cash to each of the twenty five Fulani communities groups across the twenty local Government areas of the state.

Presenting the donation Dr Aisha stressed the need for justice and fairness in the distributor of the items to the beneficiaries.

Also speaking, a representative of the Tony Elumelu Foundation Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim noted that the foundation was established with the sole aim of providing assistance to women in order to make them self reliant.

In her welcome address, the commissioner of Women Affairs and Child Development Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko said the gesture would assit the women to become self reliance, and urged women to avoid begging especially visiting MDAs and other places.

Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko commended the two first ladies for the donation and prayed may Allah to reward them aboudently.

In their separate goodwill messages, the special adviser to the Governor on Non Governmental organization and Domestic Hajiya Zainab A D Rufa’i and her counterpart Mrs Monica Warji Special adviser to the Governor on Poverty alleviation, State PDP Women Leader Hajiya Hauwa Musa Fulani and Hajiya Salamatu Isa APC women leader Bauchi local Government appreciated the efforts of Senator Oluremi Tinibu and State First Lady for the gesture and called on the beneficiaries to use the items given to them in good way
