The Independent National Electoral Commission, Bauchi State office, has announced that it will display the Preliminary Register of Voters PRV across all its 20 Local Government Area offices in the state from Tuesday, 4th August, to Monday, August 10, 2026.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, disclosed this during a meeting with the Commission’s management staff following the suspension of the third phase of the Continuous Voter Registration. exercise.
According to a statement signed by the INEC Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity, Aliyu Hassan Shaaba,
the exercise is aimed at giving residents who registered between May 11th and July 26th 2026, the opportunity to verify their personal information on the register and request corrections where necessary.
He added that, the display period will also enable members of the public to raise objections to the inclusion of names of persons who are not qualified to be registered as voters.
Alhaji Ibrahim urged eligible residents of Bauchi State, particularly those who participated in the recent voter registration exercise, to take advantage of the display period by visiting the nearest INEC Local Government office to confirm their details and submit any claims or objections.
He explained that, the exercise forms part of INEC’s efforts to ensure the credibility, accuracy and integrity of the voters register ahead of future elections.
