President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged his administration’s readiness to improve the standard of education in the country to the global best practices within limited resources.
President Tinubu made the plea during the combined twenty sixth, twenty seventh, twenty eighth and twenty ninth convocation ceremony of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa university, Bauchi held at the convention Ground, Gubi Campus
The president, represented by a Director in the federal ministry of education James Achedo said Nigerian universities have witnessed untold hards situations over the years due to frequent strike actions, hence the need for the federal government to focus on creating an enable environment for sustainable dialogue with the unions for permanent solution.
The president urged ATBU to intensify collaborative efforts with universities across the globe in order to cross fertilise research ideas for the benefit of the country.
While commending the achievements recorded by Nigerians universities, he assured federal government continues investment in the education sector especially research for graduating students to remain competitive in the changing world.
President Bala Tinubu enjoined ATBU as a technology based university to come up with workable solutions to the nation’s technology challenges.
