Over two hundred participants joins ongoing Quranic Recitation Competition holding in Dass Local Government Area.

Two hundred and forty pupils in 6 categories both male and female are currently participating in the 40th edition of the 2025 Bauchi State Qur’anic Recitation Competition at Dass local government area of Bauchi state.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sayyadi Ali Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauch called on Muslims to uphold the Glorious Qur’an and use it as their guide in their daily Affairs.

Professor Salisu Shehu who is the Chairman of Sheikh Dahiru Schools In Nigeria explained that who ever uphold the Glorious Qur’an will live a righteous and fulfilled life.

He urged recite the Glorious Qur’an for the sake of Allah but not for worthy recognition,urging the participants to recite the Glorious Qur’an for the sake of Allah.

Earlier, the State Chairman Bauchi state Quranic Recitation Competition committee Imam Hassan Usman Zango explained that the committee is committed to sustain and consolidate the successes recorded in both National and the International levels.

Imam Hassan Zango therefore urged the participants to put extra effort to maintain the statusco.

He commended the state government for the support accorded the committee as well as the cooperation from members of the committee which according to him led to the successes recorded last year.
In their remarks, the Emir of Dass Ahmed Sulaiman and Emir of Dass Alhaji Usman Biliyaminu Othman prayed Allah to guide the participants to be victorious in the future competition.

Declaring the competition opened ,Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi state commended the Quranic Recitation Competition committee for the tireless efforts which has bring the state to the face of the world and urged them not to relent in their effort.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner ministry of Culture and Tourism Abdu Hassan, the Governor call on the Judges to not to deviate from the rules guiding the competition saying that showing in partiality in the competition makes the pupils become victorious in previous competitions.

He urged the participants to show doggedness for them to have chances to represent the their various local governments and the state at large at the National and International levels.
