NUBASS FPTB inuagurates committee, appoints aides to strengthen student development at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi

The National Union of Bauchi State Students NUBASS, Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Chapter, has inaugurated committee members and appointed special assistants as part of efforts to strengthen student development and enhance the union’s operations.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the institution, brought together key stakeholders of the union, including its patron and executives.

Speaking at the event, the NUBASS Patron, Ahmad Ibrahim Aliyu, who also serves as Head of the Forestry Department, urged the appointees to justify the confidence reposed in them.

He stressed that unionism requires sacrifice and advised the executives to build a lasting legacy.

He noted that the appointments were made to support the union in carrying out its responsibilities, particularly in identifying and addressing areas that may have been overlooked.

In his remarks, the NUBASS President, Comrade Abdurrazak Musa Hamza, said the appointees were carefully selected based on merit, capacity, and commitment, charged them to remain honest and dedicated in the discharge of their duties.

He commended the union’s executives for their teamwork, support, and cooperation, urging them to sustain the tempo.

According to him, the newly appointed special assistants and committee members are expected to complement the efforts of the leadership for effective programme implementation.

The president also acknowledged the contributions of the patron and grand patron for their continued guidance and moral support.

He highlighted some of the union’s achievements, including the provision of a temporary secretariat among others.

As part of the event, the NUBASS Secretariat was named after the Emir of Dass, Alhaji Dr. Usman Bilyaminu Uthman.

In his vote of thanks on behalf of the appointees, the NUZAS President, Istifanus Cecilia Bitrus, expressed appreciation for the opportunity and pledged their commitment to justify the confidence reposed in them.

The inauguration marks a significant step by the union towards strengthening its administrative structure and improving service delivery to students of Bauchi State at the institution.
