The Newly Appointed State Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration Hajiya Hadiza Abdulkadir Kango has pledged commitment to continue from her predicessor to improve the standard of higher education.
The commissioner also solicited for the support of relevant stakeholders particularly lectures and students to move education forward in Bauchi state
Hajiya Hadiza Abdulkadir Gongo made the plea during the handed over ceremony of the ministry to her by the outgoing commissioner Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani who was redeployed to the ministry of women Affairs and Child Development.
She appreciated the outgoing commissioner for the advise and encouragement given to her and promised to enhance working synergy with staff to achieve the set objectives, and thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for finding her worthy to serve in that capacity.
Earlier in her speech, the out gone commissioner Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani intimated the incoming commissioner on the activities of the ministry and wished her successful tenure in office.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani has reaffirmed her commitment to champion the development of women and children in the state.
The commissioner gave the assurance when she assumed duty after receiving the handed over documents from the permanent Secretary of the ministry Alhaji Sale Mamman.
Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani promised to use her experience working for women under NOGs for years to improve the livelihood in the state.
The commissioner acknowledged that numerous tasked ahead and appealed to the Staff of the ministry to work as a team to achieve the set objectives
Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani then also thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for redeploying her to the ministry of women Affairs and Child Development from the Higher Education and Regional Integration.
