Director Administration and Human Resources Alhaji Shehu Ahmed Gilas handing over document to the New PS Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Abdullahi

Staff of the Bauchi State Ministry of Finance and Economic Development have been urged to redouble their efforts in boosting the state’s revenue and strengthening its economic standing.
The call was made by the newly posted Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Abdullahi, during the formal handing-over ceremony at the ministry headquarters.

In his address, Alhaji Abdullahi emphasized that financial management is the backbone of effective governance, noting that the ministry plays a pivotal role in driving the state’s development across all sectors.
He assured that under his leadership, the ministry would prioritize prudent and purposeful utilization of the state’s limited resources in line with principles of economic efficiency and accountability for the benefit of the people.
The permanent secretary urged all staff to adhere strictly to existing rules and regulations in the discharge of their duties and to remain committed to enhancing the state’s revenue generation.
He also called for maximum cooperation and teamwork, stressing that the confidence reposed in him by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad would only be justified through collective dedication and performance.
Earlier, in a welcome address, the outgoing overseeing Permanent Secretary and Director of Administration and Human Resources, Alhaji Shehu Ahmed Gilas, pledged the unwavering support of the ministry’s staff to the new permanent secretary in achieving his mandate.
Alhaji Abdullahi was warmly received by the management and staff of the ministry, accompanied by friends and relatives who celebrated his new appointment.
