NATIONAL DRUGS LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY CAUTIONS YOUTH AGAINST CONSUMPTION OF ILLICIT DRUGS

Youths in Alkaleri local government area have been charged to desist from taking illicit drugs that would ruin their lives and venture in to meaningful activities that would better their lives in the society.

The Assistant supretendant national drugs law enforcement agency Alkaleri local government area division, mustapha Umar Fanti gave the charge during an awareness campaign visit to Giwa Bukkan Daji security and patrol team limited Alkaleri local government division.

Mustapha Umar who described youths as the beacon of hope and development charged them to shun social vices in the community I order to live a healthy living

According to him, social vices such as drugs abuse, cattle rustling, kidnapping, banditry, rape and other unwarranted affairs in the society are the products of drugs abuse hence the need to desist from the ugly trend to enable them become good ambassadors of their community.

While calling on parents to monitor the movement of their children at all times and urged them to enroll them in to schools and other meaningful engagement that would distract their minds from minggling with bad friends in the society.

Mustapha said, is duty bound upon parents to give proper upbringing to their wards to aenable them contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation.

He further stated that, a single tree cannot make a Forest, and theregore apealed to Giwa Bukkan Daji security and patrol team to join hands with the NDLEA in order to curtail the menace of drug abuse and other social vices in Alkaleri local government area.

Earlier in his welcome address, the chairman Giwa Bukkan Daji security and patrol team Alkaleri Musa Abdullahi applauded the NDLEA officials for their foresight to create awareness to the youths.

Also speaking, the chairman of the organization said, this awareness campaign would help greatly in reducing the high number of drugs abuse and reduce the rate of crime and criminality in the society, pledging to Accord them all the necessary support and cooperation when ever the need arises.
