The Member Representing Bogoro Constituency at the state house of assembly Hon. Musa Wakili Nakwada has constructed Church and mosque in his home town, Gobbiya village to promote religious inclusivity.
The move by the lawmaker, suggests a commitment to supporting religious institutions and fostering religious freedom within the area.
Speaking at an occasion to commission the newly constructed Church and mosque, Hon. Musa Nakwada urged Muslims and Christian to continue to promote peaceful coexistence, love and tolerance.
He said meaningful development can only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour and acrimony.
The lawmaker appealed to Nigerians to tolerate one another for the country to witness rapid growth and development.
Speaking while commissioning the newly constructed Catholic Church in Gobbiya Kazar, the Bishop of Bauchi and Gombe States Dioceses, Most Reverend Dr. Nanman Hillery Dachelem called on Nigerians to embrace the country’s diversity as a foundation for national stability and accelerated development, rather than a source of division.
He highlighted the importance of inclusive leadership and collective responsibility across all sectors of governance.
In a welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Bogoro local government council Surveyor Lawi Yakubu Sumi assured his Council readiness to support all religious programmes that will promote peace and Unity in the area.
He advised Muslims and Christians in the area to unite under the banner of love unity and understanding as contained in the Holy Books, with a view to achieving rapid development.
In his remarks, the Chairman Council of Ulama, Bogoro Local Government area Imam Rabiu Aminu highlighted the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among people of the local government.
He underscored the significance of peace not only for religious purposes but also for political stability and economic development.
