The member representing Azare/Madangala Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Zakariya Saleh Mai Gero, has distributed Ramadan palliatives to people of his constituency and across Katagum Local Government Area as part of efforts to support them during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distribution exercise is aimed at assisting the people with food items and clothing to ease the challenges faced during the Ramadan period and Sallah festivals.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katagum Local Government Area, Alhaji Sani Bala, commended Alhaji Zakariya Saleh Mai Gero for the initiative, describing it as commendable effort to support the wellbeing of his constituents
He noted that the lawmaker’s contributions go beyond his immediate constituency, benefiting residents across the entire Katagum Local Government Area.
Alhaji Sani Bala therefore called on him to sustain the gesture for the continued benefit of the community.
In his remarks,Alhaji Zakariya Saleh Mai Gero said the distribution of the items was part of his commitment to supporting the people, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.
He explained that the materials would be distributed across all polling units in Katagum Local Government Area to ensure that many people benefit during the fasting period and also prepare for the upcoming Sallah celebration.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the lawmaker and prayed for Allah’s reward abundantly.
