The General Manager of Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauch, Alhaji Alkasim Bala has reminded politicians on the need to fulfill their campaign promises to the masses.
The GM made the reminder when he received in his office, Bauchi State Chairman and member of the Action Alliance Party on a congratulatory visit.
Alhaji Alkasim Bala said promise-keeping builds trust and ensures responsiveness in a democratic system, which is crucial for the welfare of the citizenry.
According to him, breaking promises leads to a loss of public confidence and can undermine the legitimacy of the government and the democratic process itself.
He said while some politicians may see promises as part of a strategic negotiation for future policy, voters generally expect their representatives to deliver on the pledges made during the campaign.
The GM used the opportunity to also advise governments at all levels to use community engagement strategy to view masses opinions and needs before embarking on any community project.
While calling for the masses to respect constituted authorities, Alkasim Bala said, Radio Nigeria Globe FM Bauchi is open to all citizens to promote their products, services and ideas in accordance with the NBC regulations and journalism ethics for the development of nation.
Earlier, the Bauchi Local Government Chairman of the Action Alliance Party Alhaji Ishaq Muhammad said they were at the Globe FM Bauchi to congratulate the new General Manger of the station and to seek for areas of collaboration to promote the party manifestations to ensure effective representation.
Alhaji Ishaq Muhammad announced plans by the party to conduct youth empowerment programme to 200 selected individuals from Bauch local government area to improve their welfare.
