Legislator in Bauchi constructs Borehole for community facing inadequate water supply

Member Representing Ganjuwa West at the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Garba Adamu Kawu, has provided a borehole for the people of Zara community as part of efforts to address the long-standing challenge of inadequate potable water supply in the area.

Speaking on the initiative, Garba Adamu explained that access to potable water is a basic necessity and a key factor in improving the health and wellbeing of rural communities.

He said, he facilitated the provision of the borehole to ease the hardship faced by residents who previously had limited access to clean and safe drinking water.

The member noted that, the project aligns with his commitment to improving the quality of life of his constituents.

The Lawmaker further stated that, the borehole would significantly reduce the time and energy spent by women and children who often trek long distances in search of water, thereby allowing them to engage more productively in education and other socio-economic activities.

Alhaji Garba Adamu emphasized that, the provision of essential infrastructure, such as clean water, remains a priority in his legislative agenda, stressing that sustainable community development can only be achieved when the basic needs of the people are adequately addressed.

Responding on the initiative, residents of Zara community expressed gratitude to Garba Adamu for the intervention, describing the borehole as timely and impactful.

The community members also appealed for the continuity of similar development initiatives across Ganjuwa Local Government Area, expressing optimism that such efforts would bring lasting solutions to water scarcity and contribute to overall rural development in the area.
