Muslims have been encouraged to actively support the propagation of Islam through the donation of hides and skins during the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir, as part of efforts to earn spiritual rewards.
The appeal was made by the JIBWIS State Chairman of the Hide and Skin Collection Committee, Dr Ibrahim Abdullahi Al-Madaniy, during a sensitisation visit to Jama’are Local Government Area.
Dr. Al-Madaniy explained that proceeds generated from the collection of animal hides and skins are channelled into key religious projects.
He noted that such contributions have facilitated the construction of a secretariat and a guest house, as well as the establishment of Assalam Global University.
He urged Muslim faithful to take advantage of the upcoming festival to contribute meaningfully to the initiative.
Also speaking, the JIBWIS Hide and Skin Collection Committee Chairman in Jama’are LGA, Malam Lamara Madakin Walda, observed an improvement in the collection process compared to previous years.
He pledged to intensify awareness campaigns to enhance participation and achieve set targets.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the JIBWIS Council of Ulama in the area, Malam Adamu Bello Hanafari, assured of the council’s full support towards the success of the programme.
