Federal University of Health Sciences Azare matriculates over nine hundred students for 2023/2024 session

The Federal University of Health sciences Azare, has matriculated nine hundred and twenty eight newly admitted students into eleven academic programmes of the institution.

 

Speaking at the second matriculation ceremony of the admitted students for the 2023/2024 academic session held at the University’s premises, the vice chancellor of the university professor Bala Muhammad Audu admonished the matriculating students to be law abiding and face their studies with all seriousness it deserve to make their parents, the university and the country proud.

 

Professor Bala Muhammad Audu reminded the students that since the establishment of the university it had make it to be part of its core values to have zero tolerance to all kinds of social vices, such as cultism, examination misconducts, sexual harassment,drug abuse, indecent dressing, vandalism and truancy, saying that those anti social behaviors are not only frowned but prohibited by the University’s management.

 

According to him, bullying or harassment of fellow students physically or through social media is also unacceptable.

 

The vice chancellor remarked that the university is well known for its fundamental principles,norms and cultural values, pointing out that those values have projected the image of the institution as a center for learning and character moulding of its students being one of the first generation specialized university of Health sciences in Nigeria.

 

He assured the matriculating students that the university management has made a provision for high standard academic facilities and welfare of the students, urging them to use the facilities available to achieve their primary mission of being in the university.

 

The vice chancellor also used the opportunity to expresses his appreciation to the Bauchi and Borno state governments as well as the Katagum Emirate council for their support and cooperation which he said is a clear manifestation of their seriousness and determination to the development of education as vehicle for transformation.

The oath of matriculation to the newly admitted students into the university for the year 2023/2024 was administered by the Registrar of the university, Alhaji Ali Ahmad.
