Community leader Calls for peaceful coexistence between Farmers and herders

The Gung-zaar, of Zaar Chiefdom Brigadier General Markus Kokko Yake rtd has urged farmers and herders to live peacefully with one another as the rainy season approaches
The Gung-zaar made the call at his palace in Tafawa Balewa town while addressing Muslim and Christian faithfuls who gathered at his palace on Sallah homage.

Brigadier General Markus Kokko Yake rtd advised farmers to avoid planting crops on cattle routes and herders to desist from grazing their animals on farmlands in order to avert unnecessary conflicts between farmers and cattle breeders which he said would not augur well for all of them.
The Gung-zaar of Sayawa Chiefdom expressed appreciation to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad for the creation of Sayawa Chiefdom which has paved the way for bringing sustainable peace in the area.

Earlier in his Eid sermon, the chief Imam of Tafawa Balewa, Faizu Sheikh Ado Musa Tafawa Balewa who led the two raka’at prayer Spoke on the significance of the Ramadan fast and giving out of Zakkatul fitr to those who are eligible in order to celebrate the Eid joyfully.

Imam Faizu Sheikh Ado Musa Tafawa Balewa stressed the importance of peaceful coexistence, noting that no society can forge ahead in a chaotic atmosphere.

He used the medium to applaud the Gung-zaar Brigadier General Markus Kokko Yake rtd for his immense contributions to the success recorded in achieving the relative peace being enjoyed in the town.

The entire Muslim community residing in Tafawa Balewa expressed gratitude for the peaceful and hitch-free celebration of Eid-el-Fitir in Tafawa Balewa town in the last fifteen years and prayed for the sustenance of the peaceful coexistence in the town.
