Bauchi State Commissioner of Education continues monitoring of student resumption and teachers as new academic term begins

Education commissioner urges parents to release their children/wards back to school..
With public schools in Bauchi state resuming for the 3rd term of the 2024 harmonised school calendar, the Bauchi state government through the state Ministry of Education has continued monitoring students resumption across various schools within the state.
The monitoring exercise which is part of the School O’ clock exercise aimed at checking the menace of out-of-school children saw the monitoring team led by the Commissioner of Education, Dr. Jamila Muhammad Dahiru visit somes schools such as Government Girl Secondary school Kofar Wambai, Government Girl Secondary school Kofar Idi, Genaral Hassan Usman Katsina, in the state capital Bauchi.

While addressing reporters, the state commissioner for Education, Dr. Jamila who expressed satisfaction with the prompt resumption of students, was however unimpressed with the low turnout of teachers and urged parents and guardians to release their children back to school as school activities had fully commenced.
“We are back for resumption, we are ready, we’ve made provision for not only the academic side of things but also the co curricular aspect as well as the psycho-social support.”
She went further to emphasise the zero tolerance of the Governor Bala Muhammad administrations
