The Chairman of the Stakeholders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Misau Local Government Area, Alhaji Muhammad Yarima Sa’in Misau, has described the recent judgment of the Federal High Court affirming the conduct of the party’s national convention in Ibadan as a clear demonstration of the party’s internal democracy and respect for due process.
Alhaji yerima (Sa’in Misau) made the remarks while reacting to the court’s decision on Friday, noting that the ruling confirmed that the convention held in Ibadan was conducted in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said the verdict further underscored the PDP’s commitment to transparency, orderliness, and adherence to laid-down rules in its activities at all levels.
The PDP chieftain commended Nigerians for their continued support and loyalty to the party, from the grassroots at the local government level to the state and national levels. He expressed confidence that the party remains united and focused on its goals.
Speaking on the situation in Bauchi State, the (Sa’in Misau) reaffirmed the support of party stakeholders for the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, popularly known as Kauran Bauchi. He praised the governor for what he described as just and people-oriented leadership, as well as the execution of developmental projects across the 20 local government areas of the state.
He also encouraged PDP members to remain steadfast and mobilized ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the party is well-prepared to face opposition parties and secure victory at the polls.
Responding to critics of the party, Alhaji yerima (Sa’in Misau) dismissed claims that the PDP was weakening, stating that the party has maintained a strong structure since its establishment in 1999 and remains a formidable political force in Nigeria.
He further commended the leadership of the party at the national level, including former Minister of Special Duties, Barrister Tanimu Turaki (SAN), and other prominent party stakeholders across the country for their roles in strengthening the PDP.
The PDP stakeholder prayed for sustained peace, unity, and economic growth in Bauchi State and Nigeria as a whole.
