CHAIRMAN BOGORO LOCAL COUNCIL EXPRESSES READINESS TO PROMOTE RELIGIOUS HARMONY

The Chairman Bogoro local government council Surveyor Lawi Yakubu Sumi, has assured his Council readiness to support all religious programs that will promote Peace and Unity in the area.

The Chairman made the remark during the Maulud celebration held in Boi Community of Bogoro local government area.

Surveyor Sumi who was represent by his Deputy Mr Mulki Masoyi Markus, urged Muslims and Christians in the area to unite under the banner of love Unity and understanding as contained in the Holy Books, with a view to achieving rapid development.

Mr Mulki Masoyi, highlighted the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence , stressing the need for peaceful coexistence for effective practice of the religion”.

The Deputy chairman who used the medium to congratulate the entire Muslims in Bogoro local government area for celebrating this year”S Maulud celebration, urged them to learn from Prophet Mohammad who emphasizes tolerance, sacrifices and love for humanity.

Speaking during the Maulud celebration, the Guest speaker at the occasion, Dr. Hadi Bar Bununu, said Islam is a religion of peace and recommends disciplinary action against those who incite violence in the name of religion.
