Bauchi Radio Corporation expresses readiness to partner with the Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency to educate communities over upcoming Measles and Rubella vaccine
The Managing Director Bauchi Radio Corporation (BRC) Bauchi. Alhaji Umar Mohammed Shira has assured the Cororation’s readiness to partner with the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board to sensitize the public on the Measles- Rubella Vaccine expected to commence from eighteen to twenty nineth.of October.

The Managing Director made the pledge when he received a team from Bauchi Primary Health Care Board along with their Donor Agencies from World Health Organization, UNICEF, Sultan, Chigari Foundation among others in his office on a Courtesy Visit.

The Head of the Corporation said the station has ten other Community Radios stations with sub-Station Azare to ensure that the sensitization campaign cut across the people of the state.

He charged them to plan their programs and liase on how BRC will support the action with a view to achieving the set objective.

Earlier in his speech, the State Health Educator Mohammed Ribadu Jibrin said the essence of their visit to the Corporation is to seek for synergy between the Board and the Corporation to publicise their programs to the target audience, especially children ages nine months to fourteen years.

He said without media, their campaign will not reach any where hence the need for the collaboration to reach out simultaneously to the public, and reiterated the need to educate, inform and enlighten the public on the Dangers of the Measles-Rubella Vaccine.

Malam Jibrin said the programme will kickstart from the eighteen of October to twenty nine October twenty twenty five, and called on parents and care givers of Children within nine months to fourteen years to ensure that the children received the Vaccine.
