The Chairman, Bogoro Local Government Area, Surveyor Yakubu Lawi Sumi, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians in the area and beyond, urging them to embrace the spirit of love, peace and unity which the season represents.
Yakubu Lawi Sumi made the call while delivering his Christmas message during visits to various churches across the Local Government, where he described Christmas as a period for reflection, gratitude and the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
He called on residents of Bogoro local government to demonstrate kindness and compassion, particularly the less privileged.
Yakubu Sumi commended the Christian community in Bogoro for their contributions to the development of the Local Government and expressed optimism that the season’s joy and blessings would inspire renewed hope and strength among residents as they prepare for the new year.
He also appreciated the Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his commitment to the development of Bogoro Local Government and the wellbeing of its people.
According to him, the governor’s support and concern have continued to positively impact the area.
The chairman appealed to residents to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed, assuring them of his own administration’s continued commitment to implementing people-oriented projects and policies aimed at improving living standards.
He called for cooperation among all stakeholders to achieve the vision of a more prosperous Bogoro and urged residents to celebrate responsibly, advising motorists and commuters to prioritize safety during the festive period.
The churches visited include Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Boi Parish; Tambari Baptist Church, Lusa; and Evangelical Church Winning All Bogoro Local Church.
