BAUCHI STATE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND ENVIRONMENT UNVEILS PLANS TO RELOCATE WASTE COLLECTION CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY

The state ministry of Housing and Environment through the Enviromental Protection Agency BASEPA is to relocate a waste collection centre in Jahun near Angale motors to games village for environmental safety.
The state commissioner ministry of Housing and Environment Danlami Ahmed Kawule made the disclosure while supervising the monthly sanitation exercise in Bauchi.
Danlami Ahmed Kawule said the relocation of the waste collection centre was necessitated for environmental negetive effects caused by the collection centre.
He used the forum to call on all those using the collection centre to properly use the new collection centre and avoid littering their environment.
In his remarks, the Director general state environmental protection agency, Dr Mahmud Mohammed Bose commended Households for complying with environmental sanitation exercise.
Dr Mahmud Bose said during the sanitation inspection tour the agency through the commissioner of environment have planted five trees and presented one hundred trees for planting along Yakubu wanka street.
He added that the inspection team have also inspected dissilting of drainages at Yakubu wanka street as well as Nassarawa Jahun street.
In their comments, the ward head of Dabule Malam Da Azumi Abubakar and Ayuba samaila Garba Mai unguwar Turaki Jahun commended BASEPA for putting efforts in sanitizing the state.
The ward heads used the forum to commend the administration of Bala Abduqadir Mohammed for prioritizing environmental cleanliness that will increase the Eco system and improve healthcare service delivery.
Places visited during the sanitation exercise include, Awalah, Yakubu wanka street, Nassarawa Jahun street, and games village among others.
