Bauchi State Govt unveils plans to establish additional community FM Radios stations

 

Bauchi State government has announced plans to establish 10
additional Community FM radio stations stations as part of Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to strengthening communication and foster harmonious working relationship between the government and the people.
In addition to the new FM stations, the government has also established a committee to revive the Bauchi Radio Corporation AM station, which has been off Air for over a decade.
The commissioner for Information and Communication,
Alhaji Usman Shehu Usman, disclosed this while leading a team to Darazo to inspect the proposed sites for the new community radio stations .
According to him, Governor Bala Mohammed has approved the immediate commencement of the project, fulfilling his pledge to ensure equity, fairness, and inclusive distribution of infrastructure and government programmes across the state, in line with the needs of the people.
Alhaji Usman explained that the initiative aims to improve access to information, enhance public participation in governance, and ensure that government policies and programmes reach communities at the grassroots in local language.
