BAUCHI STATE GOVERNOR ASSURES TO WORK IN SYNERGY WITH TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION TO IMPROVE EDUCATION IN THE STATE.

 

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed assured that his administration will continue to work with traditional rulers at the grassroots in a renewed effort to advance education delivery.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of a 2-day Education summit in Bauchi, the Governor said the importance of traditional rulers in the enrolment drive campaign cannot be over emphasized.

Governor Bala Mohammed to this end said his administration will consider the establishment of Commission for out of school children and statistics agency in addition to repositioning colleges of education all in a bid to tackle the numerous challenges in the education sector especially at the basic level.

Speaking, in his message on the just concluded education summit, the state deputy governor, Mohammed Auwal Jatau
acknowledged and recognised the outstanding efforts and commitment of Governor Bala Mohammed towards the development of education in the state.

The Deputy Governor observed that, Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment and support have made it possible for the summit to hold for the participants to discuss and chart a path for better future in education.

He added that, the summit is in line with the collective vision and priority of the Governor to address the challenges in accessing quality education in dear state by exploring innovative solutions aimed at enhancing access and quality of education and expressed satisfaction on the the level of energy, passion, and commitment exhibited by all participants during the two-day summit.

According to him, the Governor has demonstrated unflinching commitment towards the development of education in Bauchi state by providing necessary support, investments, and resources to ensure that our education system is of world-class standard.

He said the administration’s investment in improved infrastructure, provision of quality learning materials, and enhanced teacher training programs is a testament to the governor’s unwavering commitment to the development of education in the state.

Auwal Jatau noted that, education must be a transformative experience, equipping our children with essential skills, knowledge, and values necessary to thrive in the 21st century and assured stakeholders that the present administration will continue to invest in education including in the professional development of teachers.

The Deputy Governor applauded the Governor for his unwavering support for initiatives aimed at improving access and quality of education in Bauchi state and stressed the need for collective commitment to the development of education through building a brighter future for the children.
