Bauchi State Government reiterates commitment to settling backlogs of gratuity.

Bauchi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to settle backlogs of gratuity and ensuring the welfare of retirees.

The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Contributory Pension Commission, Alhaji Ibrahim Inuwa, made this known during the presentation of gratuity cheques to state and local government retirees for January 2012 and April 2013, respectively.

Alhaji Inuwa emphasized that the present administration in the state has prioritized the well-being of retirees and unveiled strategic plans to settle their benefits.

He advised the retirees to utilize their gratuity wisely, saying that, “Failure to plan is always planning to fail.

The Executive Secretary also urged them to pray for the government to have more opportunities to settle the remaining gratuity backlogs.

In their separate remarks, he Permanent Commissioner for Technical at the commission Dr. Hayatu Mustapha, and the Permanent Commissioner for Administration, Alhaji Abubakar Abdulkadir Tulu, expressed satisfaction with the payment exercise, noting that it has aligned with Governor Bala Muhammad’s leadership policy.

They thanked the Governor for appointing them to serve on that capacity and promised to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Speaking after receiving their gratuity cheques, Malam Abdullahi Muhammad, Hajiya Talatu Baba, and Malam Isa Marafa expressed joy and prayed for the Governor and his administration.
