Bauchi Speaker calls on youth to refrain from unwholesome activities

The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman has felicitated with Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu and the people of the State on the occasion of this year’s Eid-El Maulud.

The Speaker in a statement by his spokesperson Mukhtar Garba Kobi, said Maulud, is a period where Muslims across the globe commemorate the birth of noble Prophet Muhammad (Peacs Be Upon Him) whose teachings serve as the guiding principles for a more fulfilling life.

He called on parents to inspire younger ones on the Prophet’s pivotal attitudes of kindness, selflessness, honesty and trust.

Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman opined that Prophet Muhammad left no aspect unattended as he taught on family responsibilities, community lifestyles, lawful ventures and how to handle compelling issues.

The legislative head adviced parents, leaders and preachers to unite in order to reinvigorate moral compass, discharge tasks and teach the gospel of unity, righteousness and services for the overall progress.

The Speaker then charged parents to keep close eyes on their children while calling on youth to refrain from unwholesome activities.

Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman on behalf of Principal officers, Honorable Members and staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, wished the Muslim Community a hitch-free Maulud celebration and prayed for the adoption of Prophet Muhammad’s sacred teachings and lifestyles.
