Bauchi State Government to revitalize skill acquisition centers across the State

Bauchi State House of Assembly has announced plans by the state government to revitalize and modernize skills acquisition centers across the 20 LGAs to
further encourage local development initiatives.

The Chairman of the State Assembly Committee on Cooperatives, Alhaji Ahmad Abdullahi announced this during the committee’s continuation visit to assess the conditions and status of skills acquisition centers in Ningi, Warji and Ganjuwa local governments areas.

According to him, modernized facilities and updated equipment ensure trainees receive high-quality instruction in current and relevant skills, making them more competitive in the job market.

Ahmad Abdullahi added that, with better facilities and up-to-date training, graduates gain the necessary skills and knowledge to secure employment or start their own businesses to address unemployment and underemployment issues.

The chairman of the state assembly committee on Cooperatives noted that, remodeling the skills acquisition centers will allow for the integration of new technologies and skills that are in high demand and ensuring the centers remain relevant to the evolving labor market.

He called on wealthy individuals, politicians and other philanthropists to assist the teaming unemployed youths to become self reliant in the society.

Ahmad Abdullahi revealed that the effort will help them become useful members of the society and to protect them from continue roaming on the streets begging for money.

Received the committee members in their respective offices, the chairmen of the local government areas visited promised to implement favourable policies that will strengthen youth and women entrepreneurs to promote economic development.
