The Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dr Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has commended the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Danyaya, for his unwavering commitment to fostering unity and sustaining peace within the emirate.
The Speaker made this known during a thank-you visit to the Emir’s palace, accompanied by council chairmen, following his conferment with the traditional title of Sardaunan Ningi.
He expressed gratitude for the honour and pledged continued loyalty to the emirate, while reaffirming his commitment to contributing to the development of the area and the state at large.
As part of his engagements, the Speaker, who holds the traditional title of Dangaladiman Ningi, also embarked on a series of condolence visits to bereaved communities.
He sympathised with residents over the death of the District Head of Jangu, Alhaji Isa Abdu, praying for the repose of his soul in Jannatul Firdaus.
While in Ari, he condoled the Emir, Alhaji Muhammad Kilishi Musa, over the death of the Jangu District Head.
Dr Abubakar equally extended condolences to the Village Head of Balma over the passing of his brother, Alhaji Amadu Saleh, and his sister, Hajiya Aisha.
The Speaker described the deceased as compassionate individuals whose contributions would be greatly missed not only by their families but by the wider community.
He prayed to Allah to grant the bereaved families the strength to bear the losses.
Responding, relatives of the deceased expressed appreciation for the Speaker’s visit and prayers, asking Allah to reward him and his entourage abundantly.
