In his continuous effort to promote education and human capital development, Engineer Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed, the Dan Galadiman Duguri II, has empowered 200 young men and women with full scholarships to study at Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education, Bauchi.
The initiative, unveiled during a special ceremony at Jarmai Garden, Bauchi, under the Educational Empowerment Program, provides full tuition and other academic support for the beneficiaries to pursue diverse academic programmes.
According to the organisers the sponsorship, is part of Engr. Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed’s ongoing commitment to breaking financial barriers and expanding access to quality education for brilliant but less privileged youths across the state.
It will be recalled that the first batch of 150 students under this same programme recently graduated from the college — a feat that has been widely celebrated as a major milestone in his education-based empowerment drive.
The sponsor, who expressed delight at the impact of the programme so far, reaffirmed his resolve to continue investing in education as a tool for social and economic transformation.
Stakeholders and community leaders at the unveiling lauded Engr. Shamsudeen for his vision and philanthropy, describing the gesture as a life-changing intervention that will build a stronger and better-educated society.
