Bauchi State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Community Relations and Societal Reorientation Engineer Muhammad Binni Abdulkadir has called for sustained peaceful coexistence and harmonious living among residents of the state.
He made the call shortly after defending the ministry’s 2026 budget proposal before the Bauchi State House of Assembly Committee on Religious Affairs.
The Commissioner noted that fostering unity and mutual respect among people of different faiths and backgrounds remains central to the ministry’s mandate.
He added that the proposed budget would strengthen activities aimed at promoting interfaith dialogue, community reconciliation, and social reorientation in the state.
Engineer Mohammed Abdulkadir commended the committee for its support and expressed optimism that the ministry would continue to champion initiatives that enhance peace and stability in Bauchi State.
On his part, the Chairman, state assembly Committee on Religious Affairs Barrister Habibu Umar of Kirfi Constituency, said the house would continue to give the ministry legislative support in complementing governments efforts in maintaining peace, unity and mutual respect for am egalitarian society.
