Bauchi Government pledges to settle outstanding gratuity of retirees before January 2026.

Bauchi State Government has reiterated its commitment to clear outstanding gratuities and improve the welfare of retirees in the state.

The Executive Secretary, Bauchi State Contributory Pension Commission, Alhaji Ibrahim Inuwa, disclosed this during the presentation of gratuity cheques to state and local government retirees for February 2013 and May 2012, respectively.

Alhaji Inuwa explained that the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed places high priority on the well-being of retirees and has mapped out strategic measures to offset accumulated gratuity arrears.

He advised the beneficiaries to make prudent use of their payments, stressing that financial planning is essential to sustaining their livelihood.

The Executive Secretary further urged the retirees to continue praying for the success of the government, expressing optimism that more outstanding gratuities would be cleared before January 2026.

Some beneficiaries, including Malam Muhammadu Sani Umar and Mrs. Rifkatu Jonathan, expressed gratitude to the governor and his administration for their commitment, describing the payment as a great relief after years of waiting.

They said the payment marks a new chapter in restoring confidence in the state’s pension administration.
