Bauchi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani has called for increased women empowerment and representation in Nigeria
Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani made the call on the Occasion marking the 2026 International Women’s Day Celebration held in Bauchi.
She emphasised the importance of deliberate efforts by governments, institutions, and well to do individuals to make real progress on gender equality, highlighting that investing in women’s safety, rights, and leadership benefits the entire society as a whole.
Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani noted that Women deserve fundamental rights, opportunities, and protections for them to realize their full potentials.
She applauded Governor Bala Mohammed and the state first lady Dr Aisha Bala Muhammad for prioritising women’s safety, and welfare especially an all inclusive administration in the state
Dr Lydia Haruna Tsammani then used the occasion and urge women in the state to continue to support Governor Bala Mohammed led administration for the overall development of the state.
