Bauchi Commissioner for Information and Communication calls for more efforts to Preserve Fulfulde Language and Culture

Bauchi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Usman Usman Shehu, has stressed the need to preserve Fulfulbe language and culture.
The Commissioner spoke at a forum organized by the fulbe Media Presenters Association of Nigeria held at professor Iya Abubakar Resources center, Bauchi
Alhaji Shehu Usman Shehu emphasized that Fulfulbe natives and speakers must protect the language’s historical value, citing language ecology principles.
He praised the association’s efforts and urged participants to share ideas on promoting the language
In their remarks, Fulani association leaders across the country called on media presenters to promote Fulfulbe language and Socio cultural development.
They lamented that some wealthy Fulani individuals abandon their norms and culture, and assured that they would secure employment and other assistance for members in every state.
High point at the occasion were presentation of Awards to individuals who have contributed to the advancement of fulbe community to include Garba Dahiru Mohammed Director, North East Federal Radio Corporation
