Bauchi Assembly Speaker calls on Nigerians to embrace unity and respect the rule of law

The Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Dr. Abubakar Y. Suleiman has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, respect the rule of law, and work collectively towards building a prosperous nation.

In a New Year message, the Speaker expressed gratitude to God for His mercy, protection, and blessings throughout 2025, describing the past year as one marked by both challenges and opportunities for growth.

Dr. Abubakar Suleiman commended the people across the various constituencies of the state for their resilience, patience, and unwavering support despite prevailing security and socio-economic challenges.

The Speaker noted that, the continued support and prayers of constituents remain critical to effective legislative representation, urging members of the House to stay committed to delivering people-oriented legislation and oversight for the development of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.

He also lauded both permanent and casual staff of the Bauchi State House of Assembly for their dedication and professionalism in promoting democratic values and ensuring the smooth conduct of legislative business.

He expressed optimism that 2026 would strengthen the bond between elected representatives and their constituents, foster patriotism and empathy, and enhance the delivery of meaningful dividends of democracy across the state.

The Speaker wished Nigerians a peaceful, prosperous, and fulfilling New Year.

Dr. Abubakar Sulaiman therefore, extended New Year greetings to Nigerians, particularly the people of Bauchi State, as the world ushers in the year 2026.
