BAUCHI ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE ON WORKS CONDUCTS OVERSIGHT TOUR OF ROAD PROJECTS.

Bauchi State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Transport has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of ongoing road projects across the state.

Leading members of the committee on an inspection visit to Darazo, Misau, Itas-Gadau, Gamawa and Azare, the Chairman, Engineer Garba Adamu Kawu, commended the contractors for the remarkable progress recorded ahead of the projects’ commissioning.

Engineer Adamu Kawu assured that the committee will continue to monitor the projects closely to ensure that work is completed on schedule and in line with approved standards.

He attributed the steady progress to Governor Bala Mohammed’s financial commitment to infrastructural development across the state.

According to the Chairman, the road projects are crucial to boosting the state’s economy, enhancing connectivity, and creating new opportunities for the people.

He emphasized that the committee’s role is to ensure that public funds are judiciously used and that every project delivers value for money.

Engineer Adamu Kawu further noted that the present administration has prioritised infrastructural development as a key driver for investment, job creation, and improved living standards.

The committee chairman also urged the contractors to speed up work through effective project management and logistics while maintaining strict adherence to quality, safety, and material specifications.

In their responses, the representative of the contractors handling of Darazo-Gabciyari Road, Engineer Benedict Bruno, Engineer Nicolas David of MotherCat, the company handing the road construction in Misau, Gamawa and Azare, reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the utmost level of professionalism in the handling and execution of engineering construction activities.

They expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for the confidence reposed in them, reiterating the companies’ dedication to contributing to the socio-economic and infrastructural advancement of Bauchi State.

The project sites so far visited by the committee included, the re-construction of twenty-two kilometer Darazo-Gabciyari, the road from A. D Rufa’i College of Education to GSS Misau, the emergency five hundred meters repair work along Gamawa-Alagarno, the construction of Itas-Gadau road, and the five point two kilometer dualization work from Katagum Emir’s palace to setraco roundabout.
