ATBU Bauchi to conduct its 2020 combined convocation for 19 thousand graduates.

The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi to conduct its twenty twenty four combined Convocation ceremony this week for over nineteen thousand graduates.

Briefing newsmen on the pre-convocation activities held at the Senate Chamber of Gubi campus, the Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Muhammad Ahmad Abdul-azeez acknowledged the tremendous contribution of media organisation towards the growth and development of the University over the years.

According to the VC, the success of this exercise will be determined by the co-operation from all stakeholders in the educational sector particularly the media hence the need for the briefing on the activities lined up for the ceremony and to inform Nigerians about it as well as urged journalists to report the activities for the benefit of humanity.

The combined Convocation ceremony according to him, will start on Thursday to Saturday this week, with the commissioning of nineteen different projects completed in the last four years spread in both Gubi and Yelwa campuses to commission by Governor Senator Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Katsina State Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, the Minister of Health, Dr Ali Pate and all the three Senators representing Bauchi state.

He said there will be a convocation Lecture which will be delivered at the 1000 seat capacity lecture theater, Yelwa Campus by Professor of Media studies, Umar Pate with the topic, “Education and Nigeria’s National Integration in the Digital Age: Matters Arising”.

Professor Muhammad Abdul-azeez added that the convocation ceremony will be hold in Gubi campus with the graduation of four sets of graduands of the University and its Senate has approved for the award of honorary Doctorate degrees to five distinguished Nigerians.
