Al-muhibbah Foundation distributes Food Commodity to people of Yalwan Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area

Almuhibbah Foundation has distributed food items worth millions of naira to vulnerable residents of Yalwan Duguri community in Alkaleri Local Government Area.

Speaking during the distribution exercise, Bauch State First Lady, Dr Aisha Bala Mohammed, who is also the founder of the Foundation, said the initiative was aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society and putting smiles on their faces to enhance their standard of living.

Dr Aisha Bala emphasized the importance of assisting the less privileged, urging beneficiaries to make good use of the support in line with Islamic teachings that promote a balanced and righteous life in both this world and the hereafter.

She also called on parents, especially mothers, to closely monitor the upbringing of their children in order to instill discipline, good values, and responsible leadership qualities for the future.

The First Lady further advised parents to discourage street hawking among young girls, noting that, such practices expose them to gender-based violence and threaten their dignity and safety.

She urged community leaders entrusted with the distribution of the items to ensure fairness and transparency as well as to ensure the assistance reaches all intended beneficiaries at the grassroots level.

In their separate remarks, some Islamic Scholars, Dr Mujtapha Abdulkadir Muhammad, Sheikh Sunusi Adam, and Imam Mahmood Isa Duguri, advised community members to intensify efforts in guiding their children to become responsible citizens.

They cautioned against immoral acts such as adultery and drug abuse, stressing the importance of good morals and healthy living.

The religious leaders commended the state First Lady for her consistent support to the vulnerable and offered prayers for Allah’s abundant reward for her kindness.

Earlier, the Coordinator, Almuhibbah Foundation, Hajiya Zahara’u Y. M. Baba, explained that the foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to assisting vulnerable persons, orphans, and people with special needs through proceeds from its business ventures and donations from well-meaning individuals.

She noted that, the foundation has also provided medical assistance to improve the health and wellbeing of beneficiaries and their children, while calling on the public to support its activities through sadaqah and other charitable contributions.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hashimu Yakubu Kubala, expressed appreciation to the First Lady for the gesture and urged beneficiaries to utilize the items judiciously.

Items distributed during the exercise included several bags of rice, bags of detergent, wrappers, and cash support.
