Agriculture has been one of the major sources of revenue for the Country.
That is why the Federal Government introduced measures to assist farmers in the Country.
The season Farmers were assisted with farm inputs that includes Fertilisers seeds and herbicides worth over three hundred thousand naira at fifty percent subsidy.
Speaking at the presentation of the last tranche of the final segment in Bauchi , the Zonal focal person for Bauchi Zone, Alhaji Kabir Tijjani Doma explained that the distribution is for approximately one thousand four hundred farmers.
Alhaji Kabir Tijjani Doma maintained that already the first and second tranches have been presented successfully, adding that this is a special package aimed at improving food production and ensure food security.
He advised the beneficiaries to make the best use of the commodities to enable the program succeed.
According to him, the presentation is part of the National Agricultural Growth Scheme and Agro Project, Bauchi Centre.
He said there are Four centers in the State which comprises of Jama’are, Misau, Katagum, and Bauchi.
Items provided include fertilizer, insecticides, seeds and herbicides worth over three hundred and fifty thousand naira with a fifty percent discount.
