Wikki Tourists Football Club has secured a crucial away point at Sokoto state as they played out a goalless draw against Sokoto United on the return of the NNL 2025 season.

The result helps Wikki maintain their leadership position in the group standings at giginya memorial stadium sokoto.

The Tourists came out of the blocks with intensity, applying early pressure on the hosts.

Imamu Bala Magaji nearly gave Wikki an early lead after a brilliant solo effort down the left flank, but his shot narrowly missed the target.

The attacking trio of Bangs, Hassan, and John consistently troubled the Sokoto defence with sharp movements and clever link-up play.

Meanwhile, the defensive line—anchored by Bismark Duah, Lawrence, Abba, and Saifullahi—stood strong to keep the home side at bay throughout the first half.

The second half saw Wikki Tourists create more chances, with Jonathan Mairiga coming closest when his powerful effort rattled the crossbar, despite the pressure, the breakthrough never came.

After 90 minutes of tense, physical football, both teams had to settle for a point apiece.
