The Head of Administration, Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area Comrade Muhammad Yunusa has presented midwifery kits to the management of various maternity facilities.
Presenting the kits, the Head of Administration said the initiative aims to enhance maternal healthcare services in the local government and commended the dedication of the healthcare personnel and reaffirmed the local government commitment to improving health services within the community.
He personally announced the award of cash prizes to the top three performing maternity heads in Burga, Wurno, and Dajin and later presented two laptop computers to the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) department and the Health Educator Officer.
According to him, the aims is to improve administrative efficiency and support the ongoing health initiatives as well as announced preparations for the upcoming SMC Cycle 3, highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen health programs in the area.
In her remarks, the Director Primary Health Care Department Tafawa-Balewa local government area Hajiya Maryam Hashimu, commended the selected health centers for the job weldone and charged others to emulate.
Hajiya Maryam Hashimu emphasized the importance of effectively utilization of the items provided to enhance healthcare delivery.
In his remarks, the Chairman Medical and Health Workers Union, Tafawa-Balewa Local Government Branch, Alhaji Aminu Sambo, commended the selected health centers for their hard work and dedication and encouraged others to redouble their commitment to improving healthcare services in the community.
Alhaji Sambo called for teamwork and collaboration in achieving better health outcomes, urging all health workers to remain focused on their mission of provide quality care to the public.
