NANS calls for transparency and accountability in the management of the nation’s resources.

The National Association of Nigerian Students has called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency implement concrete measures towards alleviating the economic burden on the Nigerians.

The Bauchi state NANS Chairman Comrade Usman Abubakar Mansur made the call in a press conference held at the NUJ Secretariat, Bauchi

Comrede Usman Abubakar enumerated some of the issues experienced by the Nigerian students to include, the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, scarcity of electricity and exorbitant rates of electricity, which according to him the situation has directly affected the ability of students to pursue their education effectively.

He called for transparency and accountability in the management of resources to ensure that the welfare of citizens, especially students are given the desired priority.

Comrade Usman applauded Governor Bala Mohammed for his unwavering support towards improving the educational sector and enhancing the welfare of students in the state

He also noted that Governor Bala Muhammad educational vision is commendable and also serves as as a beacon of hope for the youths of the state and called on people of the state to continued supporting his administration to enable him achieve the New Bauchi Project Agenda

The NANS state chairman appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed’s generosity towards the recent donation of vehicle to the union in the state.
